Hotel Luna Llena was completed in the year 2001 and we are happy to announce the addition, in 2007, of our restaurant!

Our accommodations, decorated in charming Italian style, circle the lush tropical garden around our pool. Wooden boardwalks lead you through the palms and vivacious flowers to this central area where you can enjoy a complimentary breakfast in our pool-side pavilion. Later in the day breakfast is replaced by a menu of delicious healthy snacks and a full bar where you can indulge yourself while you float in the cool water or bask in the hot sun. A free wireless internet connection is available throughout the premises and our gift shop also serves as an internet café where two computers are available for your use.

Hotel Luna Llena offers you a choice of accommodations. Our unique round bungalows are ideal for families or groups of 4-5 people. They’re also the perfect accommodations for special occasions like honeymoons or guests planning on a longer stay. The bungalows are fully furnished 2-story units equipped with hot water, air conditioning, cable TV full kitchens and are well-ventilated by surrounding windows and ceiling fans. Each of the seven units has its own safe for your valuables.

 

We also offer spacious hotel-style rooms with the same Italian décor as the bungalows. All of the rooms are air conditioned and are equipped with hot water, cable TV and a safe for your valuables.

A friendly housekeeping and maintenance staff is on duty to make sure that your stay is comfortable and a security guard keeps vigil while you sleep.

Hotel Luna Llena is the perfect location for your Tamarindo vacation. We’re located only a five minute walk from the sun and sand of Tamarindo beach and a five minute walk from the bustling center of town.  Hotel Luna Llena also borders the San Francisco Estuary Reserve which is home to an immense variety of tropical dry forest animals.  Expect to see (and hear!) Howler monkeys in the trees, watch the rainbow of bright-colored birds and butterflies, admire the alien features of the iguanas and the silliness of squirrels.  During Tamarindo’s busiest months, Hotel Luna Llena is a sanctuary of peace and quiet, hidden away from the crowds but still affords you the convenience of a central location.
